This is entirely untrue. According to the blog post associated with the release of WIP2, it's an update for SLOT-2 users due to problems with the alpha, however:

archeide wrote:

Other people can check this release too, it reduces the battery consumption and includes a button to hide the GUI.

I've been using WIP2 on my EZ-V (a SLOT-1 device) quite happily.
_________________
I've got nothing to say, but it's OK.
Also quick note about the audio: while all three square wave variants with different duty cycles sound kinda bad through the GBC sound channels, the only one that is very noticable is the 25% / 75% wave - the non-50% one sounds near flawless for reasons I don't understand.
Bug found:

This one's quite reliable - load up a copy of "Kiwi Kraze", and wait a few seconds. I got it to crash into GBC mode by scrolling up and down with L and R and mashing start. This was done on a regular ol' GBA.

Update:
Forget that, it seems that all you need to do is hold R until it scrolls to the bottom. This works for almost every game I tried, including but not limited to Super Mario Bros 2 USA, Kiwi Kraze, MegaMan 5, Megaman 6. I am too tired at 5:30 to remember more of them.

Video to come a bit later.
Which v0.6 did you use?
The Alpha or the WIP2 Build?

Also iTouch DS is a Slot-1 Device, the WIP2 Build shouldn't work.
A DLDI Driver isn't needed, because iTouch DS uses Auto-patching.

In which Folder on your MicroSD Card did you place your SNES roms? By default, they have to be in the /SNES/ Folder.
Hello!
I am using PocketNES v9.98
Added roms to it with Thingy.

On my Nintendo DS I am using M3 Real card.
Tried starting up the emulator both from GBA folder and just PocketNES folder but it doesn't work.

What am I doing wrong?
1) When you are at the beginning of the menu, you should be able to press the left button and go right to the end.

2) When you exit a Rom, it should put you at that ROM in the menu list, not a the beginning.
Hey,

I compiled my ROMS with menu maker, however it got rid of the (U) and (!) and (p1), etc on the rom list and named them, for example Metroid. Now, I have 3 metroids on my menu and I don't know what the difference is...... any setting I can change to keep the original renaming?
iTouch v0.9
SNEmulDS I've tried v0.6, v0.2, v.03 (http://www.pocketheaven.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=4762)

The program itself loads fine, but I can't select a ROM to play. The list is just...blank.

in v0.6, the touch screen hangs.

Can anyone help?
Subject: The NES emulator in Contra 4 is remarkably robust.
Posted: Tue Aug 19, 2008 7:33 am (GMT -5)

So I've been thinking about fooling with Contra 4 for a while now; when I first played it I was disappointed to find that it included Contra and Super C as bonus features but not Probotector or Probotector II (the PAL versions of those games). Today I finally got around to doing it, and was able to replace the games with a minimum of difficulty. After unpacking the DS ROM, the two NES ROMs are neatly located in the data folder as "contra.nes" and "superc.nes". I found the use of the ".nes" extension interesting, almost as if they were trying to let us reverse engineer the thing. Anyway, after I'd done that, I decided I might as well go nuts. What else will it run?

So, mainly because it doesn't work in nesDS, I put Startropics II into it. I tried to get it working in no$gba, but I couldn't even get it to recognise my save, even after cropping it down to the required 512 bytes. I figured I'd be better served by trying it on hardware anyway, so I did:

Eventually I also got it running in DeSmuME:

Now, the hand/V thing is a little off in the emu screenshot, but as you can see in the hardware screenshot, it looks fine there. I was able to enter my name, get in-game and played for about five minutes without any problems. Here's a couple more screenshots in-game. The emulator doesn't appear to be limited to UNROM and MMC3, as I threw Snake Rattle 'n' Roll (MMC1) on there and it worked fine.

Now, obviously there's no saving, as Contra and Super C have none, but the fact that it got it running at all is pretty cool. What else is there that doesn't run in nesDS that we can throw at it? Preferably stuff without saving, for the above reason, but hey. Also, if you want to try this yourself, be aware that the classic Contras have to be unlocked by playing Challenge mode, but there should be saves around that you can download. If not, here's mine. Don't mind the file name.

EDIT: This is extremely old news, isn't it? My bad.
_________________
I've got nothing to say, but it's OK.
