Out of curiosity, why did you end up replacing nearly all the searches for CFG and making CONFIGSAVE special in updatestates? _________________ Kuwanger Projects Like stag beetles in tubes |

When does it screw up? Which speedhack settings?

The changes in updatestates were done to support the combined SRAM+Savestates delete menu. Pass in -1 as the type, and it matches everything except config files.
The SRAM+Savestates delete menu pops up whenever you run out of SRAM space, and asks you to delete files so that you can save the newest file.
I think I'll go fix the config bug, seems to happen whenever the file before the config is resized. _________________ Here come the fortune cookies! Here come the fortune cookies!

I tried all combinations of speed hacks but it didn't help.
The whole screen also flickers when there are a couple of cars on screen. _________________ 0x5AB07A6E |

Can't reproduce any bugs in rad racer. There are two cars on the screen fairly early in the game, and I see no problems. I just tried VBA-M and NO$GBA, not hardware. _________________ Here come the fortune cookies! Here come the fortune cookies!

Not a big deal for me, as these are far from must-have games, but I was just trying to help with playtesting. So, ROMs so far that don't work at all in PocketNES:
Punch-Out!
The Last Starfighter
Kung-Fu Heroes
Bill & Ted's Excellent Video Game Adventure
Qix (this one works fine until you try and start the game...DOH!) |

Yeah. No more nasty scale verticle scrolling. So now the statusbar in SMB3 looks nice and stuff like that. _________________ Flash Cards

Fixed bugs, including SRAM corruption bug, and bug that stopped Magic of Scheherazade from loading state.
Unfortunately, somewhere along the line, Back to the Future got broken. _________________ Here come the fortune cookies! Here come the fortune cookies!

Have you setup Subversion yet?
It's good for your karma and all that.
The turtoiseSVN client is nice if you can handle that it integrates with Explorer. _________________ 0x5AB07A6E |

I have an improvement suggestion. I know that you've been working on trying to make save states less emulator-version specific. To that end, one possible avenue is to make save states less emulator-speicifc. Ie, you could make PocketNES generate FCEU-compatible save states. Here is a specification for the FCEU save state format. Looking through the code, it looks like you're already well on your way to being able to support the specification. Whatever you choose, great job on all the improvements. _________________ Kuwanger Projects Like stag beetles in tubes

My method of source control is lots of copies of folders, and WinMerge.
And yes, I already fixed the back to the future bug, it was a bug in a new feature that scrolled the screen down when the nes screen is turned off. It was using the wrong set of scroll values. _________________ Here come the fortune cookies! Here come the fortune cookies!
