|
|
Hello, just got this thing, works well, but still learning...
Need help atm, first of all..
1.Where can I get the latest nesds?
2.How do I get it to work?
3.What file extension should it be, I got one with .bin and it isn't running
4.does it need a flash card?
5. Unrelated, but...how on earth do you get moonshell to work without freezing (was playing an itunes made aac file and it's freezing up after saying somthing is wrong with it
If anyone can answer these qustions (including 5 if your nice enough-but you don't have to since it's off topic XD) then thank you very much! _________________ I may have given up, but if other need, I will help! |

You want the nesDS.nds file, which you can get from the GBATemp download center since the official site is still down. You'll have to use the alternate firmware called AKAIO I believe in order for it to work correctly. Games should be in *.nes format.
Dunno what you mean by question 4, as your Acekard IS a flash cart.
I think ACC playback in Moonshell might be buggy. Does the same thing happen with mp3 files? And which version of Moonshell are you using? |

Currently using 1.71 of moonshell, Oh and managed to get it all working , got nesds....
Execpt it stopped working, after I get to the menu it freezes, it was working though when I had the nesds.bin file at one point....
I thought AKAIO firmware up date was for the previos version (version 2) and not needed for version 2.1? _________________ I may have given up, but if other need, I will help! |

sorry for the double post, I just got akaio, it works better now (even though I can't the enemy sprites in ninja gaiden 3 )
And thanks for clearing that up about the flash card thing...I posted that when I haven't even used it yet I just panicked since I am new to running this thing...
Any idea when they would upgrade nesds, it's isn't perfect, but pocket nes 9.98 was better than what this thing is now, just asking... _________________ I may have given up, but if other need, I will help! |

I'm pretty sure Loopy's done with NES DS. More likely, but still rather unlikely, would be an all new port of PocketNES by Dwedit, and that would probably be a long way off if he does it at all. _________________ My Rig:

Unlikely?
Even though I've been slacking off for several months, I still have a half-ported pocketnes... Still no sound integrated in yet. _________________ Here come the fortune cookies! Here come the fortune cookies!

Awww, that sucks, I like his stuff too...
Okay then-any nes emulators that is more complete for the ds, one that works 100% for ace card with akio firm ware (did I spell that right probably not)?
I like ninja gaiden 3 but if I can't see the enemies...then what do I do? _________________ I may have given up, but if other need, I will help! |

The only real alternative to NES DS is NesterDS+, which uses software rendering. This means it will be more accurate graphically but suffers from slow speed as a result, and you'll have to use frameskip to play at full speed.
Make sure you get the version with the + in the name, as that's the DLDI-enabled version that doesn't require you to package games into the *.nds file. |

Hmm... I didn't realize you were working on one. Or else, I did and forgot. _________________ My Rig:
