The ability to exclude unwanted roms is what makes this app better than goodGBA. If and when a new version is ever released, you should consider adding these features:
Make (Intro Hack) and (Trainer) roms excludable. Yeah, so some roms have no unhacked dumps available. You can add an option that will include the hacked roms only if there is no good dump.
Make alternates excludable. Some roms have more than one good dump, but maybe you only want to keep one of them, you know? This is useful for when you don't want to name of the dumper included in the filename.
If you ever decide to include video roms, you should absolutely make them excludable. |

The actual coder for gba-renamer has not been around for almost two years.
Only vinpire is around to do updates for the tool.
Catweasle did not leave him the source for him to continue.
Great ideas, but unlikely to happen.
Maybe if Vinpire can tear his himself away from our Canadian women he can shed some more light on this. |

The first two options are way too excessive, to get the app to realise there is more than one dump of the same game would either require a change in the dat file or some serious coding work.
And ummm... uhhhh...

they're uhmmmmm... already in gbaren and have been since they were released.
But as Mr. rOss says, i can't do anything with the program since i have no source for it, besides which... i don't code in the language it was written in anyway, i like clrmame better... i could go on but i think you get the point.
Time will tell what happens, i can't do much since i'm not gonna be home again until some time in january. Dat updates will still continue, and so will my not-leaving-canadian-women-alone.
