From the pocketnes readme:
| Quote: | Apparently Nintendo has been given a Japanese & US patent on
the scaling technique used in PocketNES it is;
US patent nr:20040053691. Filed January 3, 2003.
JP patent nr:2004-105311. Filed September 13, 2002.
The first version of PocketNES that used this kind of scaling came
out in November 2001.

At uspto.gov I found section 2200 of the Manual for Patent Examining Procedure which gives instructions for letting the USPTO know about prior art. Has anybody looked into doing this? _________________ -- Where is he?

I live in Sweden, do I even have a right to raise my voice over this (in a legal way)? _________________ 0x5AB07A6E |

It doesn't mention having to be a US citizen, and since you can be completely anonymous it basically couldn't be an issue.
But since *anyone* can submit prior art it might be easier for someone who's in the US to do it.
It might be a good idea actually, just pre-emtively in case Nintendo would ever get the idea to try to cause a stink. _________________ releases.pocketheaven.com
