Is there a new DAT file planned for the PSP? I see lots of new releases but no update yet?
An eager FAN of the PH DAT's ! _________________ Obiwantje |

There seems to be something wrong with the clrmame DAT though:
I did a little digging in the DAT file and I think the wrong code:
game (
name "Namco Museum (J)(Independent)"
description "Namco Museum (J)(Independent)"
rom ( name "Namco Museum (J)(Independent).iso" crc )
)
Should be corrected to the following:
game (
name "Namco Museum (J)(Independent)"
description "Namco Museum (J)(Independent)"
rom ( name "Namco Museum (J)(Independent).iso" crc CE0C4996 )
Which gives an interesting problem, as this is the EXACT same CRC as the Namco Museum (J)(NONEEDPDX) release.....I think both are the same and 1 should be removed?
PS: There seem to be even more problems with the DAT file, also the nuked release of NBA lacks the CRC info, there may be more.
It seems that this DAT release was brought out too hasty (NOFI) _________________ Obiwantje |

You need to understand that these dat files aren't made by hand so any info missing from them is also missing from the site.
If you check the info for the Namco Museum release you'll see in the release notes section it tells you that it's not in iso format and therefore there is no crc32.
If two releases are the same that would make one a dupe and it would be nuked because of that. It still stays on the site though, if you check there are already nuked dupes in the dat file and there have been for quite some time. |

I am sorry, but you are not correct. The error is caused by the fact that the DATfile is incorrect; the fact that it is not an ISO doesn't matter DATfiles can cope with any format file(s); you can see this looking at f.i. a MAME DATfile from www.clrmame.com
I think that a mistake was made somehow during the creation of this specific DATfile. No doubt the lads will fix this in their next release. _________________ Obiwantje |

the datfile is made from the database(Automatic Generated since its illegal to have such files).
I did not put any CRC32 since it its not a .iso release. The current database on pocketheaven does not support multi-file crc32s. |

@Abraham, I agree, but this now makes it impossible to load the file without errors in CLRmame
Should you therefor instead not just skip this "release" in the DATfile (ie leave it out) _________________ Obiwantje |

This might be the current way psp scene goes. so datfile = dead. |
