Atlus seem to have gone the way of Jaleco =)
The new Kuniokun Colletion uses PocketNES as well.
All registers are exactly the same and they use the exact same speedhack for the jmp opcode. Laughing

Yeah. I knew this was coming but failed to mention it. I got a kind letter from one of the programmers, deeply thanking me for PocketNES. Very cool.

Nice =)
It looked like they changed some things around in the source, but they didn't manage to fix the intro screen for the second game. Confused

I'm guessing that these publishers of NES classics collections are using PocketNES not only because it's public domain but also because it makes Nintendo's own emulator (nicknamed acNES by the scene) look like Nesticle in comparison.

Vive le logiciel libre!

I second that, but what about the NES-Emu in the Famicom Mini Series?

Also different scaling or unscaled mode (Depending on game) also full FDS Emulation, multiplayer via link cable and wireless.

My most played version of Dr. Mario today is the one on Famicom Mini, till the new Dr. Mario & Panel de Pon is released.

But maybe, Nintendo doesn't give away their NES-Emulator, and developing one yourself is a little bit more expensive than thanking loopy and flubba.

yeah dr mario is definitely the best looking of the classic nes/famicom mini series. the 7/8 scaling looks quite nice.

The version of Dr. Mario on Nintendo Puzzle Collection's multiboot extras is nearly identical to the version on the Famicom Mini.

Have you tried Vitamins?

Yes, as in the same Famicom-ROM, but way different scaling, ever played both? I have both, I know the Famicom Mini Version is better.
