Dear all, I've updated with v0.28. You can download both sound and no-sound at:
http://snezzi.pocketheaven.com/snezzids-v0.28a.zip
(Thanks for Titney for allowing me to host on pocketheaven.com)
Release Notes: blah blah. You can find it in the release notes in the zip file.
The 0.28a fixes the following:
- the nosound version to enable buttons.
- reverts to original the SNES cycle timings used by v0.27 wip.
I would appreciate if some kind soul would help test and let me know if anything still is wrong.

Nope I didn't unscale the screen. The main differences in summary from the v0.27 WIP 3 version:
- Megaman7/XMen runs at normal speed now.
- Chrono Trigger no longer freezes at the courtroom trial
- HDMA Mode 7 registers
- Knights of the Round no longer gets stuck at the countdown screen
Some of the planned features slated for the next release:
- SD/CF saving of SRAM
- limited 16x16 tiles
- touch screen for configuration
- mid-frame switch of the tile graphics (for Super Ghouls and Ghost, Killer Instinct) |

i am in awe, here, seriously. other than the screen scaling business, which i understand you aren't too keen on changing, if the sound in chrono trigger were fixed and maybe that debug text were taken off the bottom screen.... this emulator would be perfect beyond belief.
wonderful work.
EDIT: OH MY GOD SINCE WHEN DID THE EARTHBOUND BATTLES WORK PROPERLY IN SNEZZI
hm it seems like kirby's dream course is locking up at the logo screen.. |

This is great stuff.
I'm really anticipating saving to fat because my m3 is messed up when it comes to ds homebrew sram saving.
One more thing: Are there any plans to work on the sound core to make it less unstable? If the sound version didn't freeze it'd be so awesome |

it's ok.. i can always use snesDS for that one game =)
ok, also:
super metroid is getting really close to perfect.. but you have to alternate bg settings between rooms to be able to see your status bar over the gameplay exactly as you're supposed to be able to.
edit: and chrono trigger's battles are still a tad slow, plus.. sound (though that's not really your area, right? it definitely sounds a little better than .27, so i guess you worked on it a bit..)

| Is there a reason you don't want to add an unscaled mode? Scaling is useful for a lot of games, but for the ones that don't need it, they look a lot better without it. |

he already said that the particular way snezzi renders the graphics makes it tough for him to implement a change like that.
i, uh, want this pretty badly. but he's done enough recently =)
16x16 tiles would be nice for ken griffey baseball, now that mode7 is working.
wow, that's fun to say. "now that mode7 is working."
do you accept donations? |

Please not. Then G6 and EZ4 users won't be able to save and the others will have problems with saving (see ScummVM DS). I think saving is good as it is right now (every device is supported ).
Great work btw |

Wheh? He can add CF/SD saving and leave in SRAM saving as well. You could even have a commandline option or something to avoid auto-detection issues. |

ok i think i have found an important bug in the no sound release
the pad doesnt work in the games i ve teste ...
for example i tested super soccer with the sound version and it freezes at the title (sue to spc synch i ve understood ) so i ve tested with no sound , i ve seen the AMAZING progress made ,super soccer is perfect but i cant play because the buttons doesnt work
i thought it was a pb with super soccer so i tried 2020 baseball ,working with sound version and the pad doesnt work in the no sound
i tried with dbz2 .It s the same
so my conclusion is that there is a bug some where i think. Can u answer me bubble ???I m completely excited about the idea to play super soccer soon |

Ok, so it's the first time i tested snezziDS, looks good. Nice seeing Chrono Trigger starting on the DS. But is it just me or does the sprites allways end upp behind all the backgrounds? _________________ 0x5AB07A6E |
