Hi folks,
The new version of SNEmulDS 0.6 comes closer... The new GUI is nearly finished and is being integrated to the main core. I'm waiting for artworks from my friend to complete the GUI design.
You can translate SNEmulDS in your own language, for more details see :
http://www.snemul.com/ds/?p=34
Thanks,
Archeide

I don't speak French, but one line that looks awkward is
| Quote: | | "1997-2007: SNEmul has 10 years!" |
I know that in Spanish you usually say that something "has XX years" to indicate age, and I'm guessing that French is similar, but in English you usually say something closer to "SNEmul is 10 years old!"
Glad to hear about the status update though. Looking forward to the next release! |

I translated it into German^^
I'm not sure if everything is correct...
(we don't have that much German Emu's to compare with^^")
But I think it's understandable...
And if not... and someone complains about something...
I'll tell it and you can change it afterwards^^
so heres my translation:
(I hope Megaupload is okay?)

Hi Archeide,
I speak Japanese natively. I have also done some translation from English to Japanese in the past.
Let me know if you were interested,
Thanks |

Hi ApprentiSorcier,
I'm really interested in a japanse translation. But i'm currently limited because i don't have made a font with Kanji/Kana ready.
If you are interesed, I have some question about this:
- Would it be enough for a beginning to use only Kanas (much easier to implement) ?
- I have found a font for limited JIS X 0208 with 1400 Kanji characters, does it look good ? |

It seems i already got all translated strings for all languages supported by the firmware (except japanese, that i can't implement right now). You can send me other translations, but there will be supported later (and users will need to edit the snemul.cfg file to select this language).
Translations that uses Western charset (like portuguese, ...) maybe supported in 0.6+.
Translations that don't use Western charset (japanese, chinese, korean ...) will be supported later. |

Be serious now.
Translating anything into a rubbish subhuman language isn't gonna help anything. |

As it's an emulator, most words will be english ones I think, like some games which use only near those (like Wrestling Game) and like lots of games are using (Save/Load/Player), transcribed in Katakanas (for foreign words) so anyway yeah, hiragana, katakanas are enough. Everthing can be written with those anyway (old games were only using them, and no kanjis at all, like on the NES/GB for example).
I would also be able to do the Japanese one, but as someone already offer to do it, I'm leaving this to him. _________________ Sorry if sometimes my english sucks, I'm French ^_^ |

Great so, i think we should start with a translation in Katakana only!
If you use the JIS X 0201 charset than it would be perfect. I'm searching the katakana font. |
