| Nintendo limited themselves to very basic games... I'm not all that surprised they still had some CPU power left to do a softsynth. |

| Oh, I can help you with that one. Don't compress the NES ROM. |

Bug found:
This one's quite reliable - load up a copy of "Kiwi Kraze", and wait a few seconds. I got it to crash into GBC mode by scrolling up and down with L and R and mashing start. This was done on a regular ol' GBA.
Update:
Forget that, it seems that all you need to do is hold R until it scrolls to the bottom. This works for almost every game I tried, including but not limited to Super Mario Bros 2 USA, Kiwi Kraze, MegaMan 5, Megaman 6. I am too tired at 5:30 to remember more of them.
Video to come a bit later. |

| Also quick note about the audio: while all three square wave variants with different duty cycles sound kinda bad through the GBC sound channels, the only one that is very noticable is the 25% / 75% wave - the non-50% one sounds near flawless for reasons I don't understand. |

Thanks. What other NES roms have problems with compressing using NesPak? |

I just found a nasty one. Whenever you load a save state for the Japanese version of Bionic Commando (Hitler no Fukkatsu - Top Secret), the game freezes. Tried it with and without compressing the ROM, and the results are the same.
Why would I play the JPN version, you ask? Because it's harder, that's why! |

That and it has Hitler, pretty much the most awesome video game villain ever.
Kidding. _________________ I've got nothing to say, but it's OK.

I can't reproduce the problem for Hitler no Fukkatsu. Works fine when I try it on emulators. _________________ Here come the fortune cookies! Here come the fortune cookies!

| Try it with two ROMs, saving and loading states, and see how that goes. |

Made a bunch of savestates, saved and loaded them at various times, and found no problems. Is your version from 7-31-08? _________________ Here come the fortune cookies! Here come the fortune cookies!

Yes it is.
I found what caused the problem in the first place. I had the US Bionic Commando and the JPN Bionic Commando in the same compilation! For some reason, they don't like each other. |

Yay for Pocketnes using a crappy way to identify what game created the save. Maybe I should have it try to match the currently loaded rom before it searches all other roms. _________________ Here come the fortune cookies! Here come the fortune cookies!
