hi all,
everytime i try to open the rom with translation patch i get the message:
"... Only for french and secam mega drive systems ..."
i never had that issue since i thought it would be automatically set by the emu. i tried to change the country, but still get the same message. (after startup of the game i chose another country, afaik this always results i a reset so it should work correct?) or do i have to change the country prior to starting up the rom?
edit: the rom is working correctly on picodrive but its too damn slow, so i want to play it on JEnesis.

I really hope you know the difference between a MegaDrive/Genesis and a SNES. You do, right?

sorry i was writing too fast, i was talkin about picodrive (too slow) and JEnesis of course... 
was getting confused since i posted in other boards at the same time about some snes stuff (langrisser)...
any ideas what could be wrong with wonderboy? |

You have to change the region to EUR BEFORE you boot the game up. I got the same message, but switching the region and rebooting it makes it load fine. It seems to run fine as long as you do that, but I assume it'll go 10FPS faster than normal since it's a PAL game.
This actually isn't a Wonderboy game I believe. It's awesome though! I'll add a note on my compatibility list for the translation hack.

thanks i'll definetly try this at home. i loved the monsterworld games ond genesis and master system.
btw: monsterworld 4 is afaik the sequel to wonderboy 5. But it could also be some kind of side-story. The screen says only monsterworld 4 as far as i remember...and its the first time that wonderboy is actually a girl...so you could be right

Monster World IV is WonderBoy 6, and it was released in Japan only, i'm playing this game too (in italian), and it's a very nice game... 
PS: mine works flawlessy... |
