I've removed the links to the places that host the roms. I know it's a Chinese pirate cart, but until we determine whether or not that's allowed on PocketHeaven the links are not to be reposted.

Looks like that's an HKO or something similar, and a fantastic one at that.

Yeah, it's not licensed, but it still seems to contain copyright protected material, and as such spreading it probably constitutes copyright infringement, and since we err on the side of caution at PH we don't allow questionable rom links.

Read the rules: http://www.pocketheaven.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=7
It's up to the moderators to decide where the line in drawn when it comes to questionable roms. In other words, even if you disagree, stop posting it here when a mod tells you not to. (or if a mod edits out a link from a post, don't edit it back in.)

I understand your enthusiasm (seems like a great achievement), and I don't like coming across as a complete downer. You can talk *about* the game and how to emulate it just fine without posting a link directly to the rom. Those who are interested should be able to find the rom on their own, PH just isn't the place to help people finding roms.

Here's a better place with information about the game without the rom:

Thanks for your understanding. You didn't have to delete all of it though. It's completely fine to link to the modified emulator by itself, without the rom. (It was a modification of pocketnes right? Since the pocketnes code is public domain it's perfectly fine to modify that and link to it here.)

I was just reading the archives of LostLevels.org, and it turns out that maxzhou88 is or was a developer of HKO titles. This article discusses max's postings of stories, art, and source code from HKOs on his blog. Not strictly relevant to the Final Fantasy HKO in this topic, but interesting nonetheless.
