It's basically a bugfix. Nintendo intendod all along for human players to go twice as fast as everybody else. Unbalanced as it was, it was more balanced than their current philosophy of "whoever is in last ten seconds before the end of the race gets a cheap-shot guaranteed win item."

Uh, I'm not talking about how the player is faster, I'm talking about the mushroom boost extension. What you just said does _not_ apply to 150cc mode at all.

Yeah, when I mentioned player speed, I was referring to the boost extension, claiming that the player was supposed to ALWAYS have boost.

Also, I said "intendod" instead of "intended", because I'm so clever.
