Pocketheaven.com does NOT offer roms on its servers. It is an information resource only.

Do not request roms, post links to roms or sites with roms, offer to send roms, or give detailed explanations on where or how to get roms.
This goes for the public boards as well as private messages using the PM feature.

You WILL get banned and the post will be deleted or edited. If you are a regular contributing poster we might show some lenience, but don't count on it.

Roms refers to copyrighted commercial roms (including obsolete systems like NES etc), and the same goes for as any other copyrighted material, like warez or mp3s. If you are unsure if what you are posting is copyrighted or not, don't post it. Moderators will use their discretion in judging each case.

Treat your fellow posters with respect. Don't insult them, don't flame.
We have zero tolerance for spam. Do it and you're banned.
Commercial links of any kind are not allowed. No for sale posts, no ebay links, no commission links to stores.
Don't dupe post. If you have some info or want to ask a question, post it in one place, once.
This forum is English only! If you want to use other languages, use the pm feature and talk privately.

Moderators are free to delete/edit/lock any posts they find disruptive or just plain stupid. If you find a post of yours have been moderated, take it as a hint to not do that again.
Moderators are all doing this on their free time, and we don't have time to babysit posters or explain every moderation. We expect posters to have common sense and be aware of when they're out of line. Those who show that they are unable to play nicely will find themselves banned.
The easiest way to stay in line is to stay on topic. Discuss the topic at hand and stay out of personal flaming.

Once you're registered you might find the "View posts since last visit" link handy, as it shows new posts on all separate boards. Makes it much easier to keep up if you're a regular.

The moderation here is more hands-on than most other boards. We often move, edit and delete posts to keep the forum clean and easy to follow, so don't be surpised if it happens to a post of yours.

Keep in mind that the authors of the emulators and the other free software on here are all doing it for free in their spare time. Don't whine about lack of updates or features.
Politely asking for features or reporting bugs is fine of course, but you might want to consider checking that the same thing hasn't been requested previously.

Despite our harsh rom policy we are a pro-piracy forum. After all, the main purpose of Pocketheaven is to catalogue roms.
You can feel free to talk openly about pirating commercial roms here (AS LONG AS YOU DON'T LINK TO THEM.) How to get them to work on hardware or emulators, etc.
Being snarky about piracy is considered borderline trolling as it never leads anywhere constructive. This includes replies like "why don't you just BUY the game?" to posts asking for help getting a rom to work.
